You've been training in the gym — building strength, learning movement, pushing grades. Now it's time to take that fitness somewhere it was always meant to go.

The Gym to Summit Challenge is a structured progression program that takes 50 + gym athletes from their first outdoor foray all the way to the summit of Granite Peak — Montana's highest mountain and a true alpine objective.

One track. Various entry points. A year or a season - you choose your pace.

Two Challenges - One Summit

The Masters Challenge

For athletes setting their sights high, this 18-month challenge provides detailed support and training guidance for the best possible summit. The Masters Challenge includes:

  • Non-technical summit expedition, 3-day

  • Technical summit trip 2-day

  • Granite Peak 5-day

  • Skills course: 2-day Red Lodge

  • Training plan: uphill athlete 

  • Priority booking for all guided phases

  • Price: $8525

    In addition, athletes receive:
    Two planning calls with a guide · Monthly check-in emails · Curated gear list and beta document · Summit certificate + patch

The Sprinters Challenge

For athletes who have been training all winter, this summer is your time to climb. The Sprint Challenge is a 4-month program to reach the top of Granite Peak and includes guided training events:

  • 1 skills course: 2-day Red Lodge 

  • Pre-trip 3-day

  • Granite Peak 5-day 

  • Price: $6995

In addition, Challengers receive:

Spirit Mountain — Frosty Rib

Class 3–4 · 2–3 Days

Your first real alpine climb. A scenic approach to Moon Lake basin, a comfortable high camp, and a dramatic scramble to the summit with expansive Beartooth views.

 

Route: Frosty Rib (Class 3–4)

Duration: 2–3 days

Skills: Camp craft, exposed scrambling

Metcalf Mountain

11,000+ ft

Metcalf North Rib (5.6)

5.6 · 2–3 Days

Towers, gendarmes, and exposed 4th to low 5th class terrain. Montana's highest 11,000 ft peak via a classic alpine ridge that sharpens every skill you'll need on Granite.
