Course Description

Learn the skills of rock climbing and multi pitch climbing and be prepared for your own adventure! We will learn in a Sport or Trad setting depending on the participant's preferences. Topics include: anchors, belay systems, rope management, route choice and risk management. We will go over systems in groundwork style and practice those skills on rock in a safe manner by "mock-leading" with your guide. This course is based out of Red Lodge, Montana. Schedule: Day 1 - Meet at 10 am in Red Lodge, skills day on single pitch and short multi-pitch terrain. If you want to refresh general climbing skills like belaying, this is a great time to do it! Day 2 - Meet at 8 am, either in Red Lodge, East Rosebud or Clark, we will climb a multi-pitch and for have opportunity to practice the freshly learned skills! Stay at one of th local Forest Service campgrounds, camp wild or stay at a Montal or rental place. We're happy to facilitate lodging-sharing. If you have any questions, just shoot us an email. No prevous climbing experience needed! A minimum of 2 participants is required for this course. If the course doesn't fill we will either cancel 14 days in advance or offer the service for a surplus payment. Price includes taxes and processing fees.

Cancellation Policy

The 2.9% credit card processing fee is not refundable. In the event of a cancellation 31 days or more before your upcoming trip, Beartooth Mountain Guides refunds your entire deposit, apart from processing fees. 30-14 days in advance of your upcoming trip, Beartooth Mountain Guides refunds 50% of trip cost. Within 14 days, no refunds are accepted. Remaining costs are due one month prior to trip start date. Travel insurance, such as Travel Guard or World Nomads, is highly recommended to protect the cost of your trip in the event of a last minute cancellation.
